Hillsbus riders have generously given $9,450 to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead through last year’s Christmas Bus appeal.
Our drivers spent many hours dressing up six themed buses, which ran across the network through November and December collecting money from passengers in donation buckets. Every cent will be handed to the Hospital on Monday 23rd of January at 12pm.
“We are so grateful for the support of Hillsbus and the dedication of drivers for creating such amazing Christmas displays in support of the Hospital. The effort the community has gone to and the funds raised through this appeal really have helped to brighten the lives of sick kids,” Gilly Paxton, Director of Community Relations and Marketing at the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network said.
Ravinder Singh, Hillsbus Regional Operations Manager, thanked drivers for their hard work and passengers for their generosity.
“This has been a great community effort for a very worthy cause. The Christmas buses provide the opportunity for us to interact with our customers in a very positive way, whilst collecting money for a worthwhile cause and supporting the general community. The smiles that these buses bring to everyone are priceless!” Ravinder said.
